Board

The Gainesville & Alachua County TPO Board is responsible for implementing the transportation planning process. Prior to decision-making, the Board receives input from the TPO advisory committees to ensure diverse points of view are represented.

The TPO's Board of Directors includes the Mayor and City Commission of Gainesville, Alachua County Board of County Commissioners, Rural Community Representative, Gainesville Regional Airport Authority, Alachua County School Board, University of Florida (non-voting) and FDOT District 2 (non-voting). The board meets monthly to make decisions about transportation plans, programs, policies and funding.

Board meetings are the first Monday of the month at 3 p.m. in the Grace Knight Conference Room, Alachua County Administration Building, 12 SE 1st Street, Gainesville, FL.

Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Board (B/PAB)

The B/PAB advises the TPO on issues relating to the planning, implementation, and maintenance of resources, programs, and facilities for the safe and efficient integration of bicycle and pedestrian transportation into the Gainesville Metropolitan Area and Alachua County transportation systems.

Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)

The TAC advises the TPO on technical transportation planning issues, plans, programs and studies. Membership includes government agency staff with expertise in planning, engineering and related fields.

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)

The CAC provides an opportunity for citizens to participate in the transportation planning process. The CAC meets at the County Administration Building — Grace Knight Conference Room.
